We need all kinds of gear, shoes and stuff to keep us running and all of these cost a ton of money. Living on a budget can limit your adventures when it comes to ultra running, whether it be training or participating in events. When creating a running calendar and training schedule I found this to be true for myself as well. And so I needed to be smart. Some stuff we can’t do without but it doesn’t mean we need to pay full price or buy brand new things all the time.

I found some valuable resources where second hand items are either sold directly or auctioned. This helps keeping cost down, sometimes drastically! I also found some sites where you can rent gear, mostly hardware tech to either for your own review before purchasing or to short term rent for a specific event.
